September 07, 2003

The trail is located in Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The trail starts with a descent to meadows.

Where the meadows end, you cross a creek to enter a forest before you reach another meadow.

Then you start to go uphill following a series of long switchbacks that may be a little bit rough to cross because of the rock slides.

It is possible to see pikas and marmots on your way up.

Eventually you will reach the saddle overlooking Lake Ann where you can have views of White Salmon Glacier.

Lake Ann is a small and usually frozen lake. On a sunny day, if you walk to the end of the lake, you can have fine views of the Fisher Chimney, Shuksan Arm and the Curtis Glacier across the deep valley.
